Electric Guitar Chords
Hi! My name is Mike Larney, from the band Naked Underneath, and on behalf of Expert Village we are going to go through chords. The first chord that I am going to talk about is the G chord. Now the way that I am going to call out the fret numbers is, I am going to start with the top string, and I am going to call what fret we should be on, all the way down, so on the first is third fret, second fret, off the fret, off the fret, third fret, third fret and then all together we have a G chord. Now the second chord that I want to talk about is the D chord. Now that starts on the D string here, and we are going to go off, two, three, two; and when we strum that, you want to strum all four of them like this. Now combining these chords are going to be essential to be piecing together a song. So it’s going to take a little practice, especially with the D chord, because your fingers are going to feel like they’re all in a big ca-jumble, which I’m not sure is a word, but it doesn’t really matter in rock 'n' roll, you know what I am saying. Anyway, so you want to start off with your G and you want to move to the D and you can just go back and forth… so try that on for size and see how it goes.
