My name is Riki Butler and I’m a certified personal trainer. I’m certified through AFAA and AAAI. I have been a personal trainer for the past ten and a half years. On behalf of expertvillage.com, today I’ll be demonstrating exercises for you that work the muscles in the chest, your pectoral muscles. Any action that you do that requires you to push away from your body works the muscles in the chest. Also any action that causes that you to close your arms in squeezing in towards your body, works the muscles in the chest. When you are done with your chest exercises you must stretch the muscles in your chest. So pushing and closing contract the muscles. The way to stretch them is to pull the muscles away from your body opening up your chest. So after you have completed your chest exercises you must stretch your muscles. Today I’ll be demonstrating exercises for you on machines and using free weights and dumbbells. Also, calisthenic exercises, where you just use your body weight. Let us go ahead and get started.
