Tips for Decorating a Spiderweb Cake

Hi, this is Karen from Expert Village. Now I am going to pipe the melted white chocolate around in circles on the cake. That's going to help us make our spider web. I am going to use a disposable pastry bag. It is just a piece of plastic cut in a triangle and right now it is not open and I am going to fill our pastry bag. You want to do this while the glaze, the chocolate glaze is still hot and soft and just put your white chocolate into the pastry bag and let it drip down to the tip. We don't need that much, just a little bit. Okay, you could also use, they sell the ready made like gel frostings in the little tubes and you could use a white or yellow, even a green for this and it's very easy that way. This is a little more difficult but not very. Now I am going to cut just a tiny bit of the tip of the pastry bag off and that's going to, and it will squeeze out, okay let me cut a little bit more because it doens't want to come out. There we go. Okay, and now we're going to draw circles around our cake, just very lightly. One, two, three. And then with a knife you just want to drag through that chocolate glaze and the white chocolate stripes and that makes a web and this is our chocolate covered spider web cake. And if you want you can put a couple of little flies on the cake. This is just and easy cake to decorate. You could even buy a store bought cake, make the chocolate glaze and use one of those gel frostings to make the circles and it's so quick and easy.
