Troubleshooting When Building A Basement

This is Ben Ingham with Expert Village talking about a walk out basement. The next thing after the cinder blocks wall is to put up is to reinforce in some braces some form or fashion so you can back fill where the hole was dug out of the back hook. So you can put the sand and dirt back in the hole so it would be back up against the wall. Well this particular wall because when I started back filling the wall cracked and even though I had bracing up to try to help ensure hold the wall. I think you can see here where it has broken into obviously in a heavy rain storm that would allow water to come through. But evenly more important then that I'm concerned about the structural ability of the wall so it would hold the building that is going to go on top of it.
