Cooking Creole Pork Chops

Hi, my name is Karl James, owner of Creolesoul Catering located in Round Rock, Texas and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to show you a Creole pork chop recipe. A Creole pork chop, first of all, let's talk about pork chops. You know, they're now or pork in general, is known as the other white meat. The reason for this is that the modern day pigs with the new dietary habits that they're, the farmers, are raising them with, they're a lot leaner than they used to be. So, you're not getting as much fat as you used to in your pork and same thing in the pork chops. What we're going to do with this is we're going to do our pork chops with Creole style. So, we're also going to add in our Holy Trinity. We're going to add a twist to the trinity though this time. We're going to actually roast the bell pepper and the onion prior to using them. By roasting the bell pepper, we'll get a sweeter flavor from them, same with the onions. And then we'll add in our celery, garlic, and the rest of our items. We're going to cook those on top of the stove. Add a little water or chicken broth if you like and simmer those down for fifteen to twenty minutes. We'll have our Creole pork chops. Let's get started.
