Singing Intervals with Solfege & Hand Signs
Hi! I am Erica Lane, I am with Expert Village and I am talking about how to train the female voice. I want to talk about singing intervals using soulfege with your hand signs. This actually strengthens your concept of learning intervals while you are singing and being able to sing more chordal structure pieces of music especially in a melodic line. So, I want to start on do, this is do and I want to go to the second interval, which is re... and then I go back down to.... So, it is going to sound like this... and then I want to go from the first interval to the third interval, which sounds like this… and now I am going to the fourth interval, which is fa… and then to the fifth interval, which is so… and then up to the sixth interval, which is la… to the seventh interval… and then finally a full octave from the bottom do… to the top do… Now if you put it altogether you will sing all your intervals in the major scale using soulfege with your hand sign.
