How to Share Expenses in a Marriage
Bringing home the bacon and paying the bills. So, once you're married who pays what. Well, this is a question that many couples grapple with. Let's say that one spouse is earning a hundred thousand dollars a year and the other spouse is earning fifty, should the bills be spent fifty-fifty? Well, one option to resolve this is to sit down with your spouse what the expectations are of paying the bills every month. It might make sense for the person earning a hundred thousand dollars to pay seventy percent of the expenses and the person earning fifty thousand dollars to pay the remaining thirty percent. If that doesn't work, work out a plan that's fair for both of you so that you're both contributing but you both have extra money leftover. So much information, so little time.
