About Avocados & Guacamole

On behalf of Expert Village this is Ian McSwain of Passion Foods in Miami, Florida and today we're showing you a quick and easy Mexican recipe. Today I'm going to be making guacamole. Today I'm going to be making a Mexican dish, a crowd favorite at parties and I love it because I love avocados. Here in Miami this time of year we have a bunch of avocado trees and this is when they're fresh and today I'm going to be using Florida avocados opposed to Haas avocados that come from California. They're a little different, they're different in size in shape, slightly different in shape and their flavor. I think Haas avocados have a richer flavor than these, these are a bit watery but still they're larger, you get more fruit. I think they have better value.
