Your Frame for the Box Step in Rumba Dance

Hi on behalf of Expert Village I'm Melanie LaPatin and I'm Tony Meredith and we're co-owners of Dance Time Square Studios in NYC we're here to show you how to rumba. So we'll demonstrate the box step together but I would like to say the frame that you have in reference to the waltz or wedding dance you want upright. When your in social setting and doing a nice essential dance like the rumba you can keep the frame a little more cozy so you have the same connection between two of you, there's a lead and follow here but it is a bit more cozy and lower. So remember that the ladies right hand is facing the mans left palm of his hand his hand is placed on her shoulder blades and we both settle into our standing leg. That would be the man's left leg and the ladies left leg then we can do the box we have ladies right foot back gentleman's leg starts off forward. Slow quick quick, slow quick quick, slow quick quick, slow and quick quick that completes the box step.
