Now I want to explain a little bit about music choices for ballet. Now you're going to want to usually pick something classical but it doesn't have to be classical music. It can be contemporary, pop, whatever you enjoy moving to but you want to make sure that you can count it out. You want to make sure it has a 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4 a set rhythm to follow when dancing. Because you want to make sure that all of your steps are done in beat with the music. You don't want to have to worry about trying to count it or worrying if it fits. You want to make sure the it all flows nicely together. If you want to use traditional ballet classical music, there's several different CD's out that have clipets and little short segments for you to use for classes. And they are easier to count so you'll be able to mellow with them to your dancing a little bit easier. You can get them. Just search on the web or you can go to a ballet store and find them there. Also, any music store, maybe Barnes & Nobles, or any local music store will usually have a few selections for you as well. Also certain famous dancer teachers have there own CD's out that they put together and found that the music works best for their classes. So you might definitely look for those as well.
