my comments concern the whole series: VERY good, just wish she could learn to use "uh, uhm" a LOT less. (I was looking for permanents vs henna in my google search & got this great video how-to!)

b4 removing all rods, do a test curl. take one rod and unhook the rubberband and then unroll the rod about 2 turns and if it makes an S shaping as you wiggle it a little, it should be done. I always add a few minutes more if it needs it like for gray hair because it's more resistant. But I do the test curl first. If it's not ready, reroll the rod until it's done.

the test curl is done before rinsing out the waving lotion. just wanted to point that out.

Home Hair Perm Results

Hi, this is Lillian Garcia with Salon in Scottsdale and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am here to share one final thing with you for the home perms. Well this is the result of a finished look after it is completely dry. I am very pleased with the results. If you remember I put a larger rod in the bang or fringe area so that the curl won’t be as tight as the rest of the hair and it worked. It is not as type and I really liked the results of it. One important thing I wanted to close with is to let you know not to shampoo your hair for 48 hours after your perm. You’re thinking oh dear, I’d like to wash my hair everyday or if I sleep on it is going to be flat. Well, what you do is get a spray bottle, just a regular spray bottle, and when you wake up in the morning you do have pillow head and it is flat, frizzy or it is big. What you do is just get the spray bottle and you spray it, wet it, work it with your fingers and go throughout your day with it but that is just the completion of this segment and again, if you looked at this whole video and thought, I just can’t do that, you can always go to your hair dresser. Pay a little extra and get it done that way.
