Hi, I’m Lillian Garcia with Salon in Scottsdale and on behalf of Expert Village.com; I am here to show you what to do after the timing is complete from the neutralizer for giving yourself a home permanent. You have to remove the wet soiled cotton and dispose of it. Then you could do it two ways; you could rinse the head of hair while the rods are still on, remove the rods and re-rinse the hair. That makes it a little bit harder especially if you are going it yourself. It is just as good to remove the rods before rinsing the neutralizer. So what you want to do is you are going to want to unhook the rod and carefully without disturbing the curl, remove the rod and you continue doing that fro each rod. Try not to tangle because sometimes especially if you have more length in your hair, the hair will tangle and you just keep doing the same thing until all the rods are removed. I do suggest that you start from the bottom and work your way up because if you start on the top and try to get underneath, the hair goes over and it causes some times the hair to tangle. So always start on the bottom and remove the rods. After all rods are removed, then I will turn around rinse my hair once again till you feel all the sliminess is gone.
