Hi, my name is Julia and this is my model Kim from Extensions by Julia on behalf of Expert Village. Today we are going to be talking about hair extensions. (Why are fusion extensions so popular?) Well, first of all because all the celebrities are getting it now, so everybody wants what they see on TV and on the magazines. Second reason is because it lasts longer than any other hair extensions out there. You can choose to do the fusion or if it is too pricey for you, you can go down to gluing or sowing. Those are two things that I do not do. Reason being is that a lot of people are allergic to latex and latex adhesive is what bonds the hair and that actually only lasts about a week or two and that also depends on how rough you are with your hair and how much you wash it. The sowing ones are not very popular, one reason I don't like it is because it traps a lot of moisture in your hair after you have taken a shower and it can cause a very unpleasant odor if you want to keep it in more than a week. (Is it also because you can run your fingers through your hair?) Absolutely, with fusion your hair is more mobile, so you can actually put it up in up dos, put it in a pony tail, you can run your fingers through it vs. having strips of hair put across your hair, you can't put them in pony tails, you'll actually see the wefts being pulled up on the back of your hair. So it is actually less attractive than doing the fusion.
