Toasting Bread for a Veggie Sandwich

Okay it's the bread now I'm using a Jewish rye I love the flavor I love the density and it goes so well with everything I'm putting in it. Like I said you can use a ciabatta or a focaccia bread but one thing to keep in mind is that if your bread is to thick your going to want to slice it down a little bit. Slice it down from the inside just so that you don't have a bread sandwich that doesn't take over the fillings. Now you want to toast your bread it's better for the overall structure of the sandwich, it will hold better and less likely to break. I think it just brings out the flavor and taste a lot better so I am going to about a medium toast of course you can do that as you like it. Some people like their toast darker than others but medium is good for me.
