Understand the Scoring System of Guts Frisbee

This is Ryan Scott from the Boontown Saints on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip, we are going to talk about the rules and how you play Guts Frisbee. Now we are going to talk about the rules of Guts Frisbee. The scoring system goes like this. The offense or throwing team get some shot playing the legal pass the other team and the defense will get a point when the offense or throwing team throws a bad shot. Now what is a bad shot? Now a bad shot is a shot that is higher than my reach or your reach or the teams reach. If it is wider than my reach which is full out and straight up is a good reach. You have to give a good reach. If the disc goes fast as to where it is not within my box or wherever, then it is a point for you. If the disc is high, wide or short or hits the ground before it gets to you, then it is the defensive point and there are no points for catches. A good catch is a one handed catch or a one handed hit up or you can sort of bobble. You can only use one body part at a time. You can't use both hands like that. You can't bring it off your body or anything of that nature. Keep your arm flat one hand at a time until you catch it. If the disc hits off of you and somebody else catches it, whoever catches it gets the throw back. If the throw hits me and it hits somebody else and it drops, then it's mine because it hit me first and nobody caught it. If someone throws a bad shot, high, wide or short, then it's the defense's choice to pick who throws back at you. While bobbling if somebody else comes into contact with it, you can trap it up against them with one part of your body and one part of their body. You can't do this but you can trap it on somebody else like that.
