Choosing a Swim School for Kids

Hi, my name is Ashley and I’m with Sharks and Minnows Swim School. Today I’d like to talk to you about picking the school that’s best for you. There’s a couple of different things that tie into picking a school. You definitely first want to make sure that you and your children are comfortable with not only the instructor but the school itself. Along with that you want to make sure that the instructors are certified, the certifications that are best to have for instructors are CPR and a type of water safety certification. Whether it be for the Red Cross or LS, any water safety certification is important for the instructor to have, you definitely want to make they have that CPR certification. Along with that you want to make sure that the child is comfortable with the instructor and the facility. So before picking out what school you have maybe you can stop by and check out the facilities and make sure they’re clean and the instructor is on time and maybe observe an instructor with the student. This way you can see how that instructor interacts with the students and make sure that they’re friendly and that your children will be comfortable. If you’re planning to do adult classes or advance classes, make sure the school can offer you what you’re wanting to get from the program. Make sure that it specializes in something that you’re wanting to accomplish. Make sure that your children are able to go to the next step and see what the next step is for your children.
