How to Decorate Your Home Office

Hi this is Shana Bethune on behalf Expert Village. I'm going to talk to about how to decorate your home office. One of the mini benefits of working from home is that you can decorate however you like. You're not working in an office and you don't need to follow someone else's rules. But of course you want to keep this reasonable, you don't want to have any crazy things around you distracting you from your work. So the best thing you can do is find things that reflect you and your personality, maybe photographs or calenders or paintings, drawings, things people gave you. Things that make you feel comfortable and at home but are also nice to look at. You want to make sure that you're surrounded by things that make you feel energized and motivated not things that distract you. Also things like plants can be a nice touch because they add a little bit of life but they're really not all that distracting. You also want to make sure that you don't have anything that can potentially be offensive to a client hanging on your walls or sitting on your desk. Decorating your office is important, you want to make sure that the space you're working in is some place you really want to be and not some place you rather be spending a few hours a day in.
