How to Do a Power On Stall in an Airplane
Hi I'm Dave Pressy with St. Charles Flying Service on behalf of Expert Village. "You want to do a power on stall as well?" "Ok" "This is pretty extreme pitch out there" "Ok" "Ok, alright" So we'll go ahead again slow the airplane down this time not using any flaps just to simulating take off is what we're going to do. We are going to simulate what happens when you take off. If you bring the nose up to high and the airplane wants to stop flying and fall back down and won't recover from that. We'll go ahead and loose a little altitude here so we don't want to climb up to high while doing it. Increase that pitch edge to so add back pressure and shim. Slow the airplane down to about fifty five and after that we're going to add full power and climb at a steep angle so our airplane reaches that stall angle or gets that stall horn you'll hear. At about fifty five we'll go ahead and take the carpeed out and we're going to add full power till this comes up adding a lot of right rutter to compensate for the left turning force. Then we'll just simulate what happens if we pull to high on a take off. Air speed decreases and there's the stall horn and all we're going to do is level that nose get our speed recovered and then climb again.
