When you are talking about collecting pink luster usually your referencing talking talking about collecting some dinnerware type of pink luster or tea sets which are really popular. This is a example of a nice Ellgreave teapot with a goose neck right here and you have a very typical top to with a square. This is very typical of a early 19 century teapot, this one has quiet of a few of damage but I wanted to show you as one example of a shape that you would see with this particular type of a pattern to it. Very simple pattern not full body pattern but a nice pattern. The only problem with this teapot is has a lot of damage but this is just one example I wanted to show you and here is another example that is very different in the fact that is shows less of the luster and more of the green viney leaf pattern in it but it is a pink luster teapot, with a nice goose neck, with a very typical handle of what a 19 century and the top also is very typical. You can see in the inside which is very important when you are talking about teapots that is has a steam hole in it so you would know that this is the right cover so that is one thing to keep in mind. But in the shape of a teapot if you don't have the right cover you would know it cause you don't have a steam hole. Keep that in mind when you are looking at different shapes of teapots. Up here on the first shelf you can see here is another teapot with the very typical house pattern. You can see the house in the front with the trees and the leaves, very typical top octangular top you can see the detail shape on knob on this and here is another teapot cover with a hole it. So you know this is very, it does belong on this teapot but a nice little scallop edge on it which you don't always see on teapots. This is a very typical English luster teapot, with a nice handle, with a little bit of a different kind of a base to it got a little more detail to it. Another one I wanted to show you today this is interesting cause you would see this must of happened when the piece was made there is a little tilt on the top of the teapot. There is the hole for the teapot here but it is not unusual to find a teapot with this type of design on the top it is not a bad design. Not unusual either so when you see this there is nothing wrong with the teapot. This pattern has your leaves on it, it has a little bit of more of the pink in it also. Another different pattern then what you so over here so there is a few examples of luster teapots that you might see out there when you are taking about collecting.
