Questions & AnswersSo when buying a piece of iron stone something to consider when thinking about restoring a piece like this you can still buy iron stone relatively expensively so if your thinking about buying a piece restoration I would say unless its really rare or really unusual. It would definitely be an expensive proposition and it would probably cost more than the piece itself. So it's not something I would high recommend I would definitely try to buy a clean clear piece especially if you want to use it. A lot of people today would use iron stone pieces in there home they collect them and they use them some people just collect but either way regardless most of the times restoring pieces like this is cost prohibitive unless it's a really expensive very unusual piece that has a high value to it. So my advise to anyone that wants to collect iron stone would be go out and buy a nice clean piece that doesn't need restoration. So those are some things to think about when your buying iron stone.
