Halloween Antiques

So, collecting holiday, we were talking about collecting Easter holiday and now we are going to talk a little bit about Halloween, unfortunately I don't have a lot to show you here. One example I can show you is just this lantern, which actually is a reproduction, I don't sell them in the shop but it's the only lantern, from the 40's, that I could show you today. These are paper mache with little wire bales on them and on the inside they had the little paper inserts to show there eyes and their mouth and their teeth. Some of them came with a sad face, you'll see them with scary faces, you'll see them with smiling faces, you'll see them in very small party favor size all the way up to 10 or 12 inches. This is a reproduction and unfortunately it's the only one I have to show you today. But, there's other things you can collect in paper, post cards, there's cat lanterns, there's cat, all different forms of cats in different shapes with the backs hunched up in paper mache, in plastic, in plaster here like you see in this example right here that's a reproduction. This is just, these are just decorative paper mache pumpkins that you can see were done. They have some age to them, you hang them on your wall and decorate with them for a holiday season. These are just a few examples that I have but there's a huge array of different types of holiday season for Halloween that are collectible. Great collectible area, a lot of paper in this are that you can collect, but also there are types of lanterns in all different shapes and forms. Jack-o-lanterns in all different sizes and all different shapes so keep that in mind. There's a lot more out there than I'm showing you here today. But, this is a collectible area that people like to collect, for a holiday season, so Halloween is a nice area to collect in.
