How to Clean Your Semi Automatic Weapon
Okay, Now that I have shown you how to break down this .40 caliber semi automatic weapon. I am going to show you the things to look for when you start cleaning your weapon. Before we get into the internal parts we'll go and look at the external parts. We want to make sure that there's no build up of rust or lint inside of the housing for the hammer. We want to make sure there is no you know grime or lint in either one of the sight posts. Okay, and we just do general inspection. If you carry it in a holster on a regular basis sometimes you have lint and other debris. Dust and stuff that collects right back here because it's position in the holster most of the time. It can over time build up and cause problems with the gun functioning properly. But those are the things you want to look for. You want to check out make sure that this is clean. Another good thing to do is buy a can of compressed air and just blow. Most times if you just hit it with a burst of air it will blow all of the dust bunnies, so to speak out it there. You want to keep it lubricated well also. Check for any rust, any malfunctions, any cracks in the frame. Even though they are metal sometimes a freak accident or over time they get a batch of steel or metal and you may get a hairline fracture in there. The only way to tell if this thing was actually fractured would be to send it to the factory and have them do a process where they use pretty much where they use an x-ray or MRI to tell if there is any stress fractures in the firearm. But you want to look for any visual first off on the outside.
