How to Draw Arms on a Cartoon Character

More detail on his shirt is needed so I am going to make some more lines up here and here. I want to continue now with the arms, I want to give him some long lanky arms. So what I am going to do is I am going to start of right here at the bottom of his short sleeve and draw a long curvy line downward like that. I am going to make fingers for him and the way that I am going to do that is I am going to make a little U like that. and then I am going to make another U next to it which is a bit longer and thinner. And then another one and then maybe a smaller thin one for his pinkie. Now traditionally our cartoon characters usually have 4 fingers, you can make 5, you can make 20 fingers, who cares? But I like to do them the traditional way with 4 fingers. I am continuing up now with that skinny long arm and I am going to do the same thing with this side too. Curving up, doing our U, our thinner longer Us, bring it on down and continuing back up to long lanky arms.
