On when talking with 19th century I just want to show you the construction on this Windsor there's a lot of different variations on windors out there. But I have an example here that I want to show you today which is the planks seat that you can see here, the rabbit ear or they call it thumbback ear the thumbback or rabbit ear and on the side you can see paint construction. It's really a little difficult cause it dark it's there and you can see the stencil marking on the construction here with the spindles, spindles will come in a variety of different number you can have. Here we have 4 but they come in examples of 5 and 6 larger some of the spindles will go all the way up, this one has an extra slat on the back side. And I want to show you on the construction here you can see all the carving by hand on how even this carving is here. This is really typical of the 19th century chair so as you can see the width thick back on the plank seat and you'll see 4 spindles 2 higher on the sides and lower on the front and back. This is a really typical example of a 19th century Windsor.
