How to Crank a Drum Bolt

So for all the knobs and bolts on this you are going to want to use the old lefty loosey right tighty rule. It is actually kind of amazing how many times we have gone through this process and people really just don't realize that, that is how you loosen and tighten. Really any turning turning any piece of hardware on this so I use the example of one of these lugs right here. You are going to want to place the drum key on the lug so when I mean left you are going to want to turn the key counterclockwise the top of the key going to the left, the bar key going to the right. This is going to be applied to really any knob on here these knobs on the side it is all universal, it is all the same. So when you get to the top head which we are going to get into now so called the batter head you are going to want to place the key on the lug and turn it counterclockwise to the left just like we said and you are going to want to have a very standard size crank. You are going to have to really fine what is comfortable for you and keep it the same throughout the drum head. You are going to want to keep the head balance so it doesn't pull or stretch and you are going to want to go around the head one time using that same I will say you can give it a degree. I think my crank is about 30 degrees.
