Drum Tuning tools

Some of the tools to go through this process include a drum key. There are a few types of drum keys that are available now days a lot of them are smaller version which looks something like this and a larger version. For these particular snare drums you are going to want to avoid using the smaller version it will give you a little bit less leverage and you are really going to have to work to turn the knobs in the snare drum. These larger models make life much easier for that purpose. You are also going to need some tape this is this particular kind of tape is packing tape but something like electrical tape would also work fine. We are also going to need some petroleum jelly any brand or you know generic brand is totally fine for this. You are also going to need some paper towels. Also you are going to want a all purpose cleaner something that is not non harsh. You are going to want to avoid something like maybe pool shock, so anything you might just clean your kitchen table with that won't damage the instrument would work totally fine. You are also going to want a adjustable wrench there are a few nuts and bolts on here of different sizes, a adjustable wrench would prevent you from searching around for the right size, it would make life a little bit easier. You are also going to want a Philip's head screwdriver, you are going to want to make sure that it is Philip also. A flathead won't work for what we are doing here. You are also going to want a pencil that doesn't not have a taper on it that goes directly across we would explain a little bit why are going to want a straight pencil shortly.
