How to Remove Hair Color Foils

My name is Dawn Shannon owner of Intuition Salon and Spa. I have applied the foils, I have applied the color, she is done processing now, I have checked the hair, and it is ready. So we are going to now remove the foils, I am going to have the client sit up very straight keeping the towel around their neck so as to protect their clothes from the color. We are going to remove the foil as quickly as we can, gently pulling them, always keeping in mind client comfort. I am then going to take the towel from around her neck, pull her back into the sink, pull out the rest of the foils and keeping them out of her face. When I have removed all of the foil, I am going to rinse her hair with cool water; I am going to use a shampoo that is friendly to recently colored hair. I am going to share with my client that the cool water is not going to cause her discomfort. Make sure all of the hair is in the sink I am going to rinse all the way around her hairline, behind her ears and underneath her neck. I am going to gently massage her scalp and her hairline with color safe shampoo; you do not want to scrub too hard because that is a little too abrasive to the scalp right after a color. Gently massaging all the way around the head, around the hairline making sure that you get all of the color residue off of the skin and when you have done that rinse it out.
