Some people call herbs food, some people call them drugs. What are they? Are they food or are they drugs? I'll show you. This is a little table given to me years ago by a friend when I ask him that question. All herbs, food, and drugs have some active ingredients and some nutrients. Now say an Apple has lots and lots of nutrients and a little bit of active ingredients. Now if you get to say Spinach. Spinach has lots and lots of nutrients, but a little bit more of active ingredients. Now if you get to Garlic. Garlic still has lots of nutrients, but quiet a few active ingredients. For anybody whos ever taken Garlic for blood pressure, you know that it does have active ingredients. Now when you start getting over here further and further, you get into say Burdoch, Golden Seal these are herbs with a lot of active ingredients. Still have some nutrients but they have a lot of active ingredients. And over here you might have Tetracycline. Tetracycline is a drug of course. It has no nutrients but lots and lots and lots and lots of active ingredients. So where do food stop and herbs begin and where do herbs stop and drugs begin. Theres no clear cut definition.
