Hi! This is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village. Okay in this clip, I am going to show you how to create an audio sample file to use in the EXS24. Now you can use any type of wave file. You could also record anything you want in Logic. That is what we are going to do here. We are going to use one of these guitar files. Now there are two ways to use one of these files. One is to actually use the bounce feature in Logic. This way you can add affects to it or do anything like that you want to. The other way is just to go into audio and convert regions to your audio files. That is what we are going to do. I am going to zoom in on this area here. Now what we are going to take is this just this first part of the guitar. Listen to that. So I am going to make a cut, right above there. I'm going to select that part and go into audio and convert regions to new audio files and that will bring up a window. I am going to save it to the desktop and we will name it Guitar Sample. Okay now if you go to your desktop, you will see the file Guitar Sample and now your audio files are ready to use in the EXS24. In the next clip, I will show you how to input that sound into the EXS24.
