How To Make A Bow For a Wrapped Gift Basket

Hi, I'm Rachel Fish from Incredible Eatables for Expert Village. Now that we have put the cellophane on we can't have a basket without a bow on the top we have to put on the finishing touches. So you can use all different types of ribbons, you can use 1 ribbon, you can use 2 ribbons, you can use only this color, you can only use this color. I'm going to choose to use both of them together to coordinate with the green and the gold that we have used here on the top and put the whole basket together. So we are going to take these ribbons that are about a yard each. We are going to take it and simple wrap it around the top where we put the scotch tape before. Okay and make sure they are pretty much even on both sides. Take it and then we are going to take a stapler, you can use glue dots I find easier to use the stapler. I find that it holds it in place and we are going to staple it. There we go we staple it and obviously we don't want our staples showing through. We are going to finish off the ribbon like this we are going to take another 2 pieces of which is about a yard each and we are going to make these into a very beautiful bow. We hold it like this and we start folding it over to one side and then to the other side and then we just keep folding it like this. Now we have 4 sides we have 2 ribbons on each side and this little middle piece over here we are going to turn over inside out. That is how we get the top part of our bow. Okay now we are going to take our stapler, staple it, I would suggest stapling it about 2 or 3 times to make sure it is secure. Then we can fan out the bow a little bit so that both sides you get to see both sides the gold and the green color. It adds a little bit of an effect, the middle part I leave as is. Then we take this and we are going to staple it to the part over here to make it one long bow. Then this you can play with it to make it look however you want. There we have a beautiful bow, these ribbons over here we really have 2 options we have several options actually that I'm going to do is I'm going to take them and I'm going to just twirl it around like this so that we see both of the colors. This side is already twirled a little bit and there we have the finished touches on our basket for today.
