Finishing Touches When Installing A Dimmer Switch

Installation and finishing steps are as follows. We'll place the wires in the electrical box as far back as they can go and then take the dimmer switch and press it into position locating it where the screw slots can be seen. Get the top screws started and then get the bottom screws started. Press the box all the way in and tighten the screws. Leave the screws just slightly snugged not tightened all the way so that the switch can be moved in the slot to line up with the holes in the wall plate.
