Matrix Editing in Apple Logic Pro

Hi this is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village okay in this clip we're going to talk about editing a midi files in the matrix. So we're going to choose our base track and we're going under window matrix edit, now in this window you can see a keyboard to the left up on top you can see the timeline only 2 measures in this section. And right here you can see the notes that are being played some of them being shorter and longer. Also they're colors to tell the velocity that they're in, now you can move these notes if you want you can listen to them also just by clicking on them. And you can also move them by dragging, other things you can do is change the length or shorten it, and those are some of the simpler things you can do in the matrix edit. In the next clip we'll talk about the toolbox where you can do much more complex edits.
