Track Length to Tempo Matching for Logic Pro

Hi this is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village okay in the last clip we changed the tempo to match the sample that we brought in cause it was a little bit long. But what happen was our audio files that we recorded are now a little short now we can listen to it back. And you can see that it's completely off time so what we're going to do is the exact opposite we're going to change our audio files to match the tempo. What you want to do is select your audio file and then you want to click in your timeline to how many bars you want it to be, you want it to be 4 bars and you want to go up to audio, and you want to bring up your time machine algorithm. Now these are different things to choose from depending on what kind of audio file you may have recorded, if it was just drums we used guitars so I'm going to use the universal, next thing you want to do is go under audio again and you want to choose adjust region length to locater's. Now we'll change the length of the audio file you can see now it goes right to the fifth measure, we want to do the same thing for this how about audio file, go into audio, adjust region length to locator's. Alright now that it's the correct length you can listen to it back I'm going to turn the loop on for this, sample that we brought in now we'll take a listen. And that's how you change the audio length to match the tempo and logic pro.
