Hi this is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village we're going to be talk about using samples in your recording a lot of people will use drum loops and thing like that. So let's create a new track and we're going to choose audio 3 and to bring in a sample you go under audio, import audio file, we're going to bring in this drum beat if you want you can listen to it. We're going to bring it in now you can see that it's a little bit long so it's not the correct tempo to this song, an easy way to fix that you select the file and go into your timeline and drag the amount of measures that you want it to match. And you then go under options tempo, and choose adjust tempo using region length and locater. You want to select globely here now you can see it's set at perfectly to the 2 measures but also the audio files that we had are now off there not longer 4 measures long. We're going to talk about that in our next clip but for this one here you can take a listen to it we're going to turn the mute on for these and you can listen to it back. And that's how you import a loop sample in logic pro.
