Importance of Text for Logo Design

This is John with Expert Village and I'm talking things to use for PhotoShop. You want to pull up PhotoShop. Learn PhotoShop, I'm willing to accept that you learn the basics of your own graphic program, I could easily go into that right now but I want to get into the actual design itself. First of all the first and foremost thing is the text. Before you even try to consider the background or the design in the background, you really need to find the text, because the text will determine how well it will fit with your graphic. Now some people like to do it backwards, some people might want to go and choose their graphic first and then find the text that fits, but you know you can make your own decision on that. But I would suggest, for instance here if you'll notice, we'll just say that Logo Do it Yourself is the name of our company, just for the sake of this illustration. Capitalization, see if you notice here I used Lo and then Go-LoGo as two separate, so therefore it made it a little bit of highlight. I can do that, a lot of companies now can even do lowercase. You know if you'll notice even in Quick Car Wash, sometimes they'll use a K instead of the C, that's your own decision of your company. But for the sake of this I'm going to use LoGo, and we're going to try that, I kind of like that so let's use the G. We're just going to play with the capitalizations just to do something a little bit different.
