Glassware Etiquette & Table Manners

Hello I am Elena Brouwer. When you sit at a table that has so many glasses, sometimes you wonder ‘Which one should I pick up first?’ If you are invited to a fancy wedding or you go on a cruise, you do not need to worry about it because the servers know exactly what to do, but I will give you a rundown just in case. This would be your water glass; it will be very close to the knife. This glass is a small one for your red wine, a bigger one for your red wine, and of course we have our champagne flute that will be served with your dessert. And this little glass is your sherry glass that you will use to drink your sherry when you have your soup. So you see there is not mystery to all this glassware. All we need to remember is that your glasses will always be to your right and your butter plate will always be on your left.
