Preparing Veggies Quickly for Lentil Soup

Hi this is Karen for Expert Village now we'll show you a quick prep method to prepare your vegetables for the soup if your in a rush and you don't want to do all the dicing you can chop your vegetables in a food processor. Just trim your onions like this and cut them into quarters just cut your garlic like in half and your celery into a few pieces. It's been washed and prep the same as before trim the ends off of your carrots and then cut them in large chunks like that and then put them all into the food processor the garlic, the onions, and the celery. And we'll process that until its fine it changes the texture of the soup a little but it's just as tasty (processing) and let me show you the difference between the diced vegetables and the food processor vegetables. You use the same exact method of cooking except that you've chopped your vegetables a little finer in the food processor as oppose to a dice, it'll just have an effect texture to the soup.
