Peeling & Pressing Garlic for Lentil Soup

Hi this is Karen for Expert Village now we're going to peel and press our garlic in a garlic press to remove the skin from garlic it's best to it's easy if you crush it. Now you can use a flat a large flat knife this is a french knife and just push down until you crushed the garlic and the skin will just fall right off, or you can take a sturdy glass or a jar and just squash that garlic like that, and the peel comes right off. At this point you could you can either mince it by chopping it like this and add this to that soup or I'm going to use a garlic press. You just put the garlic right into the press and I'm going to squeeze right into our onion like this then just remove just cut of the garlic there, and you can just scrap out the rest of that with a knife, and stick the second clove in there and just squeeze it like that.
