How to Use the iTunes Interface

Hey everybody! My name is Matt and I'm speaking to you on behalf of Expert Village. When iTunes starts up, you're going to see a screen that looks similar to this. If you go up to view, you can turn off and on different parts of the interface. If you see me using a window that you don't see in your own iTunes program, you might have to go up here and turn it on. Up here in the top left you'll see VCR controls, which you should be familiar with. You use these to obviously play and skip between tracks. To the right of that, you'll see a volume slider. Below that, you'll see it says library. You can click on music, movies, TV shows. This just switches between your different types of media. Below that, you'll see iTunes store. If you click on that, it will take you to the iTunes store or you can download music, which we'll get into a little bit later. Below that, you see it also says play lists. We'll get into play lists a little bit later as well. I'm going to go ahead and click on music under library. Over here to the right, you can see you can browse your music by different categories, by genre. You can browse by the artist name of by the name of the album. Right now, you probably don't have any media in your library, but if you see down here a track you want to play just click on it and go up here and click play. It'll start playing your track.
