De-Stemming & Washing Tomatoes for Greek Salad

Hi my name is Rich Buccola and on behalf of Expert Village today we are going to show you how to make a Greek feta cheese and tomato salad. So our tomatoes we are just going to take our stems off all you want to do is turn them like that you see that they come right off. Tomatoes this time of year are really great, there get the big tomatoes there full there hearty this is August right now and they are coming in they are good to September, October stock up on them if you can they are great to have. This is a great salad for the summer time it is filled with color and it is light and it's so fulling and it's just looks amazing so basically what we want to do is just wash our, just give them a good wash through the sink. And you could actually just sit them here to rest. The main ingredient is your tomatoes we are going to cut them into wedges, to cut them into wedges we are just going to slice them straight down and across and that is our wedges. When we come back we would show you how to cut these and we get them in our bowl and start our salad.
