Beyonce Moves in Jazz Funk Dancing

Alright, so now we're going to do some Beyonce moves. These are used in her concerts, her toys, her videos. This is one of her signature moves. So, we're going to start to the side, step out with the right leg and swing the arms out, ok? While looking at the audience. So, everything is facing the side to begin with. You're going to swing and step. And let's talk about these hips real quick. The hips are going to swing to the right, to the left; this is the motion, ok. We're only going to be doing this to the right, but this is the motion. So instead of side, side or hip, hip, we're going, side, side, hip, and hip. Yeah, so this is here, yeah, stick that hip out. Bring everything back center but stay in a deep plie. Here again, bring everything back center, shake, shake, together. Ok, that's some Beyonce for you. So, let's speed it up. Seven, eight, we go one, two, three, four, five and six. Ok, now we're going to add some gliding to that so, I'll teach you to the front first. Put right in front of the left, you're just going to step down with the right leg and push back the left leg giving it the illusion of a glide. So, this is what the right leg is doing, just going straight, down, slowly down, ok so you're up on the ball of your foot. It's going straight down, you're back leg is just pushing back. Yeah, so together it should look like, boom, boom, kick, and kick, yeah. So just push, slide back, same time. So same time that your standing leg on the ball of your foot is laying down, your back leg is pushing out, exact time. So, it's one, two, three, four, yeah, we're doubling up on the last one. So, add some arms to it, we can go here, here, hit, hit. This gives it more of an illusion it makes it even bigger, so, more dramatic. One, two, three, four. Yeah, from the top, slow. Seven, eight, we go one, two, three, four, five and six, seven, eight, one, two. Yeah, so we're just turning this leg to the horizontal. So, boom, boom, hit, hit. From the top, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five and six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six. Alright and there's a little bit of basic gliding for you and some Beyonce shaking about.
