Old School Moves in Jazz Funk Dancing

Alright so now we are going to get into some old school moves. This move has been used all over the place. We're going to start with both of your legs in and just try this first, try this twisting, feeling, staying mainly on the balls of your feet. Yeah, so you can twist better, don't try to keep your heels down, I don't want it to look like this. Yeah, so if you are up here, it's easier to twist. Yeah and you also have to be on some good floors so make sure you are on some wood floor that's polished or something that's smooth because carpet is not going to work out. So you're going be down like this you're going to pop up the right leg and twist in the left leg. So it's going to be up. Okay? Back in, opposite side, up, back in, double it up, up, in, up, in. Yeah so our arms are just going snap, bring it in, snap, bring it in, snap, snap. So again, the feet start them in, twist, turn it out, and twist, in, twist and twist and. Yeah it kind of has the feel of the move we did previously, the here, here, boom, boom. Yeah? Boom, boom, boom, boom. that's what it should look like. So we're going twist, twist, twist, twist from there we are going to go slide, jump, hit, hit, hit, hit. So let's break that down we just went slide, jump, this is a commonly used hip-hop move right, left foot, right foot, right foot. Okay? So what you're doing is just picking up the right, picking up the left, doubling up with the right. Yeah now you're going to add a throw, throw, throw, throw into that. So it's boom, boom, hit, hit. Yeah? And your upper body should do a little twist yeah? So it's kind of salsa-y. You need to bend, right here, this middle area, bend when the leg is coming up. So hit, hit, hit, hit. Yeah? Put your own flavor to it, it's hip-hop. So one, two, three, four and five, six, seven, eight, one, two and. And there you go there's an old school move.
