We are going to be learning an axle today. This is a jazz move. So, always, it's a turn which is a jump in the air, so always, like I've been saying, you need to find a spot in the direction that you're going and stick to it. So we're going to be turning to the right. I'm going to find a spot on the right and look at it, and let not let it leave my sight til I finish. So, basically what you're going to be doing with an axle is you're going to start with your preparation. Your preparation is a chaines' turn in plie'. So, earlier, this was our chaines'. We went up, up, down, k? This is just going to be in plie'. A plie' means a bend of the legs, k? So we're going to be doing a chaines' turn in plie'. So, this is what it looks like. Down, down, up, ok? So, same thing. Up chaines', up, up, down. Down chaines' - down, down, up, ok? But your up is going to be your axle. Which is what I'm going to be teaching you. It's going to be your up. You're going to be jumping straight up. So, just the axle part of it. Your arms are going to come here and around your head, k? So there going to go from the back to the front of your head. Around, just like that. This arm, left arm, stays out here the entire time. Make sure your shoulders are down. Your shoulders are going to wanna come up because your going to swoop, so try to keep them down, alright? So your preparation, chaines' down in plie', then you're going to jump, k? Now let's get to the feet. The feet are both going to be bent. The right leg is going to be in pace' just like our pirouette turn. It's going to be attached to the knee, ok, the side of the knee. You're toes are going to be pointed, and your other leg is also going to be bent up in the air, ok? So just the jump looks like this, up, k, so you're just jumping straight up and down, bending this left standing leg, k? Arms go up, that's all of it together, up, ok? So, slowly this turn is going to go, here's your preparation, around and jump, ok? You're going to do your jump. Your jump is going to be turning in the air. Let me do a demonstration. It's going to go, ok? So, bringing it back. You're going to be here, down, around, jump, land, ok? So, make sure you spot that wall. Again, it goes, ok? From here, you're going to axle, step, jump out, swoop and look, and. So, let's break that down. You're going to go chaines' down, axle up, you just landed. You're going to actually step with the left leg, cross your arms. So, right leg, right arm, arm over left arm. You're going to swivel, clap your hands, switch your arms to the right hand side, and look to the left, k, or to the audience. So, you're going to step, and look, and. Just that part again. You just landed. Up, here, you're going to step, and, look, and. And add some hip hop for you. So step and look and. Let's add it all together. Six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, and. And there is your axle with some hip hop at the end.
