I'm doing a demonstration for Expert Village, Painting 101. For painting utensils or brushes, I prefer to have a 2 inch brush and a 4 inch brush. Obviously the 4 inch brush with the larger surfaces, smooth slow strokes, same thing, up and down, same direction that you roll. Same thing with the smaller brush, smooth strokes up and down, same direction that you roll making sure that you are not leaving bubbles and sometimes the bristles of your brush, especially if it is a brush that you plan to clean and reuse, the bristles will come out and you will see the bristles stuck in the paint. It will look almost like a hair. You want to make sure that your pay attention to that. You can just pull them right off while you are painting and then paint back over that particular surface. The reason why I use 2 different brushes is because for example areas like this where you have a larger surface that is really not wide enough for the roller, you can use the bigger brush to cover this surface quickly.
