I'm doing a demonstration for Expert Village Painting 101. Okay down here is a little different than the other room we looked at. There was really no taping necessary because here we are going to paint the whole room, the whole walls and ceilings. The preparation here consists largely of wall repair. If you look up here, you can see where there were repairs made and still need to be sanded. What was done here there was tape put on the services that needed to be repaired and then it was drywall spackled. Once you put a couple of layers of the drywall spackle on, what happens is you sand it down until it is smooth and then your surface is ready to be painted. Also same thing goes when you are looking at a new drywall surface, again you want to go over the wall, make sure the area is smooth and clean. Any perfections you really need to look at doing repairs. We can talk about patchwork and repairs at a later time.
