Basic Exercises for Wrestling

Some basic exercises that you can do to stay in shape for wrestling, you can do regular push ups just like this, just do your regular push ups. Then there is something they call diamond push ups. Make a diamond like, with your hands right here, you're going to go right here, and you could not, don't bring your elbows in, but you want your elbows out as far as possible, by out I mean away from you. You want to let your elbows out. You're coming out, and you're going down. And you're going to go like this, diamond, all the way till your chest touches your knuckles, and then you're coming back up. Just like twenty of those everyday before you go to sleep. A couple of regular push ups too, switch it up a little bit. And you'll work all up here, and you'll get that down. And, another thing you can do is dips. If you have them, you can go to a gym, or whatever, if you just have two poles, like this, whatever, you go to a playground, and just take yourself right here, and just lift yourself up, dips. Right here, you're going up and down and this is all tricep right here. So the arm drag, that's everything that's pulling into you. Same thing, you want to do some bicep curls for your arms, because you go to be able to pull in. You want to do, like I said, with your stance, a good way to practice staying in your stance, is come down like this, you can even lean up against the wall, and just stand right here, an imaginary toilet bowl, and you're just going to stay right here. And just chill. That'll give you, and after a while, you'll be burning, trust me. So this is just some good exercises you can do to stay in shape for wrestling, get ready for season, as well as stretching, That's another key component to being very agile on the mat. This is Jojo Holland with Expert Village. I just showed you some top, bottom, and neutrals, some mentality, some physical things, some stretches, some exercises, everything that you need to know to become a great wrestler.
