One of the most important things in wrestling, when in neutral, is your shot. Your shot has to be on point. You can practice it as much as you want and you can never get tired of practicing because you'll always get better. It's all about speed. I'm going to show it to you step by step. You're going to start off in your wrestling position right here, and with your lead leg, the leg that you lead with, this one right here. See my toe right here, the one that's in front. You're going to take that, and go right here, and then come down, slowly, take a knee, bring this leg back up. Simple as that without a partner. Just practice that as many times as you want until you get it down. You're going to be right here in your stance, right here. And you can even walk like that. Right there. You're going to get down where your knee might not even touch, so you're just right here coming up. And I'll show you what it looks like with a partner in a second. Right now you should just practice that motion right here. I'm going to bring one of our producers, Louis, a nice volunteer over here so I can show you what it looks like doing a shot on an actual person in a wrestling match. Stand right here. -Take it easy on me now. Alright I'll try. He's pretty big. You're going to be right here and with your lead leg, my lead leg, I'm going to come in like I showed you, you're right here, and now you're here, and he's down right there. He's almost gone, he's out of bounds right there. So, that's a shot right there. That same motion, you're right here, going, you're right here, and he's down. It's almost like a tackle. You know right now he's not defending himself, but remember the defense for that, what I showed you earlier. Say he comes in for a shot. Just, he's not really going to do it, but say he comes in and he's down low, chest to the mat, chest to the mat. Kicking it back but my chest isn't in the mat, it's in his back, chest to the back. Switch it up here, and what you want to try to do is get behind. And we'll get to some motions behind the top bottom in a second.
