Safety Tips for Changing a Flat Tire

Hi! I'm Jeff Wong with Expert Village and today we are going to learn how to change a flat tire. The first thing you do when you experience a flat tire is to slowly pull off the road and find a safe place to park out of the way of traffic. Be sure when you stop to put the car in park, pull out your e-brake and shut off the ignition. The most important part about fixing a flat tire is being prepared for one. So always check with a tire gage that your spare tire has plenty of air in it; once a month is sufficient. Be sure you always have a safety triangle or similar marking device so on coming traffic can see that you are stopped on the side of the road. Or for the night, have a safety road flare available and also be sure to have a flashlight in case you have to work in the dark.
