Preparation Tips for Flower Arrangements

Hi I'm Kelley Johnson with "K Nicole Redesign" for Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you how to make a silk flower arrangement without using a vase. It's a great cost saving tip and it makes it a little bit easier to make the arrangement more versatile around your home. So let’s go ahead and get started. Let me first tell you what you'll need. You'll need a green foam, you'll need a tile and the tile doesn't matter, it can look any way that you want it to because we're going to cover it up and I'm going to show you how to do that. Then you're going to pick our your color scheme for your arrangement. I like to use one color scheme throughout the entire arrangement because it gives me a lot more flexibility to use in my home. You'll need greenery and then you'll need to choose your flowers and all of these are available at any craft store. And then you want to provide a little bit of accent color pieces and we'll talk about that in a little bit. So let's go ahead and get started. The first thing you'll need are your scissors as well as some wire cutters, those are very important. Let me find my wire cutters. So first I'm just going to take off my price tags on my flower arrangement because that's the last thing we want to see in our arrangement. We really want to highlight what the arrangement looks like.
