So the next basic exercise I'm going to show you is called flicks and what you want to do is you want to hold the flag so it is a little between the first and the end. So it is here and it is hip and shoulder, so you want to hold it like this and you want to bring it out and make sure you squeeze the flag really tightly. So what you want to do you want to let go, you are going to hold it so it is palm facing up it is like a dollar into the silk and palm facing down for the right hand. What you want to do is let it go, so the silk part goes down and you catch it like this so this palm is now facing up and this palm is come up again. So then you flick it again and again. So the whole exercise looks like this 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. So the next part of flick exercise is you are going to hold it so that your right hand is at the top and you left hand is about 8 inches into the silk. So you want to put your elbows out and make sure you are looking straight ahead. What you are going to do is you are going to pull with your right hand this way and you are going to let go of your left hand. So it looks like this 1,2,3,4 so you make sure you squeeze every time you regrab it so it doesn't wobble and shake. So 1,2,3,4, so the whole flick exercise will look like this you would do the 8 flicks 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and then 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and that is flicks.
